Figures

Hard plastic and typically either completely static or highly mobile toys.

Tiny Destoroyah

Manufacturer: Bandai
Monster: Destoroyah, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995)
Released: 2003

He's small, squishy, and missing a limb. Somehow, despite the soft squishyness, it looks appropriately gritty and textured and menacing. I DEFINITELY had one of these depicting one of Destoroyah's earlier forms, but I am not sure where it is.

Chibi Mechagodzilla

Manufacturer: Bandai
Monster: Mechagodzilla, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974)
Released: August 2013

I have no memory of this figure. I do not know where it came from.

Chibi Destoroyah

Manufacturer: Bandai
Monster: Destoroyah, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995)
Released: August 2013

Same as above but he's really cute so it's okay.

Chibi Godzilla

Manufacturer: Bandai
Monster: Godzilla, Godzilla: Final wars (2004)
Released: August 2013

The final of the chibi trilogy, this guy's cute but not as cute as desto, sorry.

Burning Godzilla (heisei)

Manufacturer: NECA
Monster: Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995)
Released: January 2014

He's made of regular plastic and this weird translucent red plastic, leading to a very unique and interesting look and feel. I think he feels a lot softer and squisher than all the others. For some reason that concoction of materials makes him attract dust more than everyone else, too.

Angy Godzilla

Manufacturer: NECA
Monster: Godzilla, The Return of Godzilla (1984)
Released: ?

The world's angriest guy of all time.

Godzilla 2014

Manufacturer: NECA
Monster: Godzilla, Godzilla (2014)
Released: May 2014

One of my favorite godzillas in this section, this guy's good looking and sturdy, leading to him being my favorite to use for macrophotography.

NES Godzilla

Manufacturer: NECA
Monster: Godzilla, Godzilla: Monster of Monsters! (1988)
Released: ?

A really unique concept, this figure is painted to look like godzillas sprite from the nes video game!

Did you know that there's a creepypasta about this game? I love it, you should check it out.

Monsterarts Godzilla

Manufacturer: SH Monsterarts
Monster: Godzilla
Released: 2011

The most beautiful boy, this guy looks just like the movies and can strike a wide variety of poses, lovely lovely man! I hope I can get more monsterarts figures, they're so lovely.

Roaring 2014 Godzilla

Manufacturer: Bandai
Monster: Godzilla, Godzilla (2014)
Released: ?

Not only is this guy big, but he ROARS and BREATHES ATOMIC BREATH THAT GLOWS too! I put him here cause yeah he's from bandai but he doesn't really count as a vinyl to me. Just look at him, he doesn't fit in the above category! He's a unique beast.

Bootleg King Ghidorah

Manufacturer: ?
Monster: King Ghidorah, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964), etc.
Released: ?

Bootleg that I got on purpose. Originally a dull dingy brown, I've repainted him to be as shiny and gold as he is in the movies. I thought I was done, but looking again there's still some touch-ups to be done. Aside from all his jaws and wings needing to be glued in because the joint pieces snapped, it's a great figure. Arguably the most important articulation points are the necks, and they're perfect. I can twist them around to show off all of their personalities. Came with a stand so I could display him in a flying position, but he already towers above everyone else, so I just have him standing.

gachapon kamata

Manufacturer: Bandai
Monster: Shin Godzilla's 2nd Form, Shin Godzilla (2016)
Released: 2016

This little guy is a gachapon prize. There were a few different kamata's with various gimicks available. This one is sort of arched upwards, and you're meant to put him on top of your writing utensils so they don't roll away. He does a good job at keeping them in place, as one can see. Like seriously he's actually really useful I love it. Pretty detailed for how small he is!

Mothra

Manufacturer: Jakks Pacific
Monster: Mothra, Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Released:

One of the only Mothras in my collection, and the only one present in my apartment. I swear I had a vinyl as a kid, along with a showa gigan, but I lost them both at the same time, where did they go? Anyways this gal is microscopic and only her wings can move, I have her sitting on top of the Godzilla she came with so she can stand up and be seen.

Tiny Burning Godzilla

Manufacturer: Jakks Pacific
Monster: Godzilla, Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Released:

A tiny godzilla that came along with tiny Mothra. I actually didn't quite realize this was meant to be burning godzilla at first, I thought he was just charging up an atomic breath that was red for some reason. Definitely just a half-hearted paintjob here, but I love him anyways.

Shin Godzilla

Manufacturer: NECA
Monster: Shin Godzilla's Final Form, Shin Godzilla (2016)
Released: May 2017

The final part of the gift set. Has some joints and articulation but can't move THAT much, but I mean, he doesn't exactly strike dynamic poses in the movie either, so I don't mind. Very nice figure, it can mimic poses in the movie and that's all that matters to me.
